This is a true one-bedroom unit, not a small studio unit that is (often) described as a one-bedroom unit.
This unit at Colony One, Sea Mountain, is a full one bedroom unit with a king-size bed in the bedroom on the lower level, and the living room, dining and kitchen on the upper level. There are great views of the sunrise from the lanai, from where you can also hear and watch the ocean. Punalu'u black sand beach is a 15-minute walk from the front door.
The living room contains a queen-size sleeper sofa that comfortably sleeps an additional two people. The room has a vaulted ceiling with a ceiling fan. It has a 37' flat-screen TV.
The fully-equipped and recently remodeled kitchen also contains a washer for your convenience. There is a drying rack which can be used within the condo, (NOT out on the lanai). The dryer is only for a very few small items. Coin operated facilities on site are for almost all loads.
Rentals are professionally handled through a local agent. Registration ID 206-919-2704-01. STVR number 19-369112. Check in is 3PM and Check out is 10AM
The location is rural and there is no significant public transportation or car service. We recommend obtaining a car to use for transportation.

Summary: Was good location for our plans! Volcano park, South point and of course the black sand beach. Condo was well appointed, nice bed, very small ocean view but could hear the ocean on the balcony. Pool area was good too. No A/C was an adjustment, the unit did get stuffy on warm days, available fans were used for most of the stay. I think the owners recognized this and did make extra efforts to aid in this common situation. It is listed without A/C so there wasn’t any miscommunication, it was just a bigger adjustment than I expected. Thought that might be noteworthy for the next travelers. All in all our trip was great and the big island great fun! Thanks for sharing your unit!
